Our actions in Vietnam
Our actions in Vietnam can be divided into four sectors:
- Improvement of living conditions from a sustainable development perspective.
- Health
- Education
- Emergency aid
We also organise individual or collective sponsorships of Vietnamese children in orphanages or social centres.
Improve living conditions from a sustainable development perspective
EPVN’s main objective is to improve the children’s living conditions in orphanages and in the poorest families of Vietnam.
In order to do this, different projects are being developed in collaboration with the local authorities and the Red Cross, such as:
- Orphanage renovation
- Creation or renovation of roads between villages to make it easier for the children to get to school and back.
- Development of sustainable breeding of buffalos, goats, sows, etc…
- Construction or expansion of premises for animals (pigsties, henhouses, etc…)
- Creation and expansion of vegetable gardens
- Providing electricity and/or light for isolated households.
These programs are coordinated by EPVN as part of an exchange of skills with other associations or organizations (e.g., the National Veterinary School of Maison – Alfort – ENVA)
The proposed solutions are always put into place with the agreement of the communities concerned (representatives of the provincial government, local and traditional leaders).
Current projects:
- Long-term prospects: animation and professional training in Ba Vi.
- Collective sponsorship in Bac Giang.
- Pico turbines in Ta Phin, Sang Ma Sao and Vi Xuyen province.
- Solar lamps for the Dao Rouge ethnic group
- Renovation of roads in Ta Phin, Sang Ma Sao and Thanh Kim.
- Improvement of health conditions in Sang Ma Sao and ta Phin, Thanh Kim and villages around Vi Xuyen.
- Renovation of the Bac Giang orphanage
Provide medical care
EPVN is committed to providing good-quality food, basic medical care, basic hygiene, and emotional support for children and teenagers in orphanages.
EPVN finances humanitarian aid by providing food supplements or infant milk; it carries out vaccination campaigns and organizes medical operations; it offers hygiene products and develops awareness campaigns in this area.
The “solidarity missions” program allows young French people, trained for a year, to be in contact with orphans during their school holidays. This project helps to give children a little extra affection.
Current projects:
- Aid for the Ba Vi orphanage and other orphenages.
- Lunches for the 300 children of Kontum..
- Construction of toilet blocks in villages in the north and around Vi Xuyen
- Distribution of water tanks to drought victims
Provide education and training
EPVN is involved in the construction and development of schools, the renovation of orphanages and the creation of professional training workshops.
These workshops, accessible from the age of 11, offer training in hairdressing, sewing, IT, manicure and mechanics after supplementary education courses so that the young people can follow the lessons.
Finally, the EPVN sponsors finance the education of their sponsored children, and cover school fees, the purchase of school supplies and, if necessary, some of their food needs.

- Training workshops for the young people in Long Hai.
Provide emergency aid
EPVN intervenes in emergency situations at the request of our Vietnamese correspondents to help a child, a family, or an orphanage.
For example:
- Emergency medical operations.
- Reconstruction of collapsed houses following a typhoon.
- Emergency food aid for orphanages or social centres.
- Emergency medical aid for orphanages or social centres.
